FFTM Creative was brought on to assist the director (sammysmith.com) in designing a complete plan and workflow for the great variety of VFX and post techniques to occur in the video. Nearly all shots were filmed in front of a plain black curtain, with all environments and lighting effects added in post with effects designed by FFTM Creative's Rene Amador, who served as post supervisor. Enabled by FFTM Creative's mastery of cost effective VFX techniques and workflows, the director was free to realize an entire world and was even inspired to add elements which before seemed like distant fantasies. For example, the slow tracking shot of an army of Brianas dancing on a street corner with billboards in the background. Once FFTM Creative's capabilities became apparent to the music video's producer, our role quickly grew to fulfill all post, VFX, and design for the video. Tasks included: post supervision, VFX supervision, compositing, 3D matchmove, animation, background graphics, color timing, lighting effects, and HD mastering for iTunes, web, and broadcast. Source was 35mm film to HD telecine. |
